“Most men would rather die, than think. Many do.” – Bertrand Russell.
“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It is as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.” – Nolan Bushnell
Great quote! Talking about critical thinking, I agree, not a lot of people have this capacity to think critically. We are all born with the capacity to think, but not everyone is capable of critical thinking. Moreover, we have a tendency to operate within our own echo chamber, where the only information that goes through our brain is information that validates our prior knowledge, vindicates our prior decision, sustains our existing beliefs. We should get into the habit from time to time of walking down the road less traveled, the one taken by critical thinkers. I wrote a blog article on this subject – https://authorjoannereed.net/what-is-critical-thinking/. Feel free to check it out!
